A Belleville woman is celebrating after a massive lottery win.
Karen Murphy matched the last six of seven encore numbers in exact order in the July 11 draw to win $100,000.
Murphy started playing the lottery recently, and has won some small prizes before but this is her biggest win to date.
When Murphy checked her ticket she was shocked to discover her big win. “I initially thought I had won $100,” she said. “I had to check my ticket three times. When I learned how much I’d really won, I was stunned and felt numb! I’m unbelievably grateful it happened to me. It’s an amazing feeling and it’s just starting to sink in.”
Murphy says she plans to keep the money as a nest egg for the future.
