The County of Prince Edward will host an open house on Wednesday, August 2 for the proposed Glendon Green walking path.
The open house will take place outdoors from 5-6 p.m. at the Glendon Green boat launch.
The boat launch is located approximately 630 metres southeast of the intersection of County Road 18 and County Road 12.
The County has recently secured an agreement with the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) to develop a walking path on MECP-owned property located next to the Glendon Green boat launch.
The construction of the path will be completed along with additional improvements planned for the site that were identified by the Athol Recreation Committee and County staff.
At the drop-in style open house, County staff will present the most recent design of the walking path.
Attendees can ask questions and hear more about the construction process.
Anyone who wants to walk along the path in its current rugged condition is asked to wear appropriate footwear and clothing.
