It was a good year for the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation. At its Annual General Meeting Tuesday members learned that a total of almost $2 million was raised in the past year.
The money came from donations, special events, and investment income.
The two most successful fundraisers were the Boobash Gala which raised $394,000 and the John Smylie Golf Classic which ended with $135,000 for the Foundation.
Grants to pay for medical equipment for Trenton Memorial Hospital totalled almost $3 million and another $1 million donation from the Foundation was given to Quinte Health for an expansion and upgrade at the Intensive Care Unit located at Belleville General.
And 13 community organizations shared $107,000 from the Kay Stafford Memorial Fund.
