Today, local golfers turned out in force for a charity tournament.
The 18th annual Play a Round for the Kids golf tournament, presented by Strong Bros, raised nearly $60,000 with 140 participants.
“What a incredible day,” said Melanie Cressman, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation. “Whether it be joining a sports team, learning music, or attending camp, the experiences that can happen as a result of the success of this tournament will be life-changing for many. On behalf of the children and youth of The Children’s Foundation, thank you to everyone who sponsored, played or volunteered at this year’s event.”
All funds raised are being donated to The Children’s Foundation and will be used for programs to support under-privileged and at risk youth in the community.
