Two more people, one of them a staff member, have been charged in connection with a contraband investigation from earlier this year at Collins Bay Institution.
On February 10, corrections staff detained an individual suspected of bringing contraband into the institution.
The OPP Penitentiary Squad was called in and seized more than 1,100 grams of suspected methamphetamine and over 120 grams of suspected fentanyl.
A 47-year-old prison employee from Leeds and Thousand Islands Township was charged at that time and remains before the courts.
Further investigation resulted in the arrests last month of 40-year-old Ryan Casterton of Kingston and 40-year-old Ali Semaan, a former resident of Collins Bay Institution who has since been transferred to the Donnacona Institution, near Quebec City.
Each faces two counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence while Casterton is also charged with breach of trust, possession of contraband beyond visitor control post and deliver contraband to an inmate.
