A collision involving a stolen vehicle has resulted in charges against two people.
Thursday morning, Prince Edward County OPP responded to a reported single vehicle collision on County Road 1 near County Road 2.
The occupants had fled the scene when officers arrived.
With the assistance of the Canine Unit, police located two individuals nearby.
Investigation revealed the vehicle was stolen.
Tyler Lowe, 22, of Quinte West is charged with:
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Operation while impaired – blood drug concentration
Dangerous operation
Theft under $5000 of a motor vehicle
Failure to comply with undertaking
Fail to remain
Fail to report accident
Drive motor vehicle – no licence
Twenty-five year-old Doreen Geertsma of Marmora and Lake is charged with:
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Fail to report accident
Fail to comply with probation order
Both individuals were held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
