In its most recent inspection the Ministry of Environment has given Belleville’s drinking water system a mark of 100%.
Councillor Paul Carr said most people don’t think much about their water and the work involved to keep it safe and flowing as the system is basically invisible to the general public.
“It is regularly inspected and to have a 100% inspection rating is excellent so kudos to the staff with the environmental services.”
Meanwhile Belleville council has approved a by-law moving the price of a Belleville Transit monthly bus pass up to $70 from $65 effective May 1.
