The President and CEO of Quinte Health, along with other local healthcare organizations and municipal governments, will continue to push for more medical services, not only in hospitals, but in the wider community.
Stacey Daub wanted to hit home was how fast the Quinte region is growing and she wants residents to have the same kind of access to health care as other areas are receiving.
“It should be equitable to other parts of the province so that’s what I’m very interested in. More mental health services, more primary care, more hospital services. We want to bring medical care close to home and the only way you can really do that well is to work in partnership.”
Daub says the area is under-resourced and in some ways seems to have been forgotten.
