The Northumberland Manufacturers’ Association (NMA), in partnership with Northumberland County, is hosting an open house Saturday, April 22.
How It’s Made, Northumberland is a one-day event with several manufacturers opening their doors for guests to take tours and learn what is made in the County and how it’s done.
Not only can guests tour manufacturing facilities but there is a free community BBQ, sponsored by RBC.
The event is open to all community members aged 10 and older.
The first tour starts at 10 a.m., the last tour is at 2 p.m.
The BBQ is from noon to 1 p.m. at select locations.

Guests are encouraged to visit the NMA website to learn what to expect during the tours (PPE requirements/no camera policy etc.), age groups allowed, locations and more details.
“An NMA goal for 2023, is to engage with the community more, and we’re excited to open our doors and bring you in,” Fred Kosseim, NMA President stated. “We want to show you our innovation, introduce you to our teams, show you our safe workplaces and maybe, just maybe, build a sense of pride for our local industry – we think community members are going to be blown away by what they see is made right here in the County and the many opportunities that come with it.”
