Ontario has announced it is providing more than $379.5 million in funding for 107 municipalities across the province.
This includes Belleville, Deseronto, Marmora and Lake, Quinte West and Prince Edward County.
The province has broken down the allocation of the funds as followed:
- Belleville – $833,872
- Deseronto (Greater Napanee, Hastings County, Tyendinaga) – $197,853
- Marmora and Lake (Centre Hastings, Madoc, Stirling-Rawdon, Tweed) – $196,534
- Prince Edward County – $146,397
- Quinte West (Brighton) – $536,351
Ontario says the funding is being delivered through the gas tax program.
They say the money can be used for extending service hours, buying transit vehicles, adding routes, improving accessibility or upgrading infrastructure.
