The Toronto Marlies claimed a 4-3 victory over the Belleville Senators on Friday night at the CAA Arena.
Cole Reinhardt, Egor Sokolov, and Jacob Larsson scored for the Senators.
The Marlies opened scoring less than 10 minutes into the game. The Senators scored one to even the score but the Marlies claimed another goal before the end of the first period to take the lead going into the second.
The Senators earned a second period goal to tie the game 2-2 going into the third.
During the third period, the Marlies took the lead back, and while the Senators claimed a third goal, the Marlies took their fourth and held onto the lead to win the game.
Belleville Senators Head Coach Troy Mann said he thought his team did their best.
“I thought the guys played hard. I thought we came out with a purpose and our mindset was good,” said Mann.
The Senators host the Hershey Bears tonight at 7:05.
