Belleville police responded to 76 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on May 13, 2024 to 5 a.m. on May 14, 2024.
Arrested on Warrants
On May 13, 2024 at 10:10 p.m., Belleville police were on patrol in the downtown core when they observed a male who was wanted on outstanding arrest warrants. Officers confirmed the identity of 43-year-old Lucas Massie of Belleville. Massie was arrested on the strength of the warrants for failing to comply with a probation order and for failing to attend court. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service and held for bail.
Arrested on Warrant
On May 14, 2024 at 1:45 a.m., a Belleville police officer on patrol in the area of Sidney St. and Bell Blvd. believed they recognized a male who was riding his bike in the pouring rain. The officer spoke to the male and confirmed his identity as 42-year-old Michael Juby of no fixed address. The officer confirmed that Juby was currently wanted on the strength of an arrest warrant for committing an indecent act in a public place. Juby was subsequently arrested without incident on the strength of the warrant. He was later released on an undertaking with a court date in June.

On May 14, 202 at 4:45 a.m., Belleville police responded to a call of a disturbance on Coleman St. Upon their arrival, officers spoke to the involved parties. While doing so, officers identified a 34-year-old male from Belleville and learned that he was wanted on numerous outstanding arrest warrants for break and enter, robbery, mischief and failing to comply with a probation order. Officers arrested the male without incident. The male was held for a bail hearing. The name of the accused is not being released as the initial incident relates to a domestic occurrence and the police will be protecting the identity of the victim.
