It’s official. Dogs and other pets will not be allowed during Brighton’s hugely popular Applefest in September.
Monday council approved a motion to prohibit animals at Applefest, including at the street fair, in Memorial and King Edward Parks, the Children’s Village, the fire station, and at the antique car show.
However, service animals that perform specific tasks for people will be permitted.
The fine for having a pet at Applefest will be $250.
