The Salvation Army is making a final push to reach this year’s fundraising goal.
So far, the Salvation Army’s fundraising campaign has raised $272,115, just shy of their $315,000 goal.
Proceeds from the fundraiser go to multiple programs to aid the less fortunate in the Quinte region. Throughout 2022, the Salvation Army provided over 30,000 meals, provided 3500 people with food and other essential supplies, provided medical care through their Street Nurse program, and provided coats to men, women and children with the Coats for Folks campaign.
Donations can be sent by mail to 295 Pinnacle Street, Belleville, ON K8N 3B3, or given to volunteers manning Christmas kettles in many local businesses.
Members of the Salvation Army will be out in the community until the fundraiser ends at noon on Christmas Eve.
