Some homes near Trenton Memorial Hospital were evacuated Monday morning after a natural gas leak.
The leak, across from the hospital, was reported shortly before 9 a.m.
Quinte Health Care spokeswoman Catherine Walker says patients were being redirected to an alternative entrance on the other side of the TMH but there was no impact to operations.
Quinte West Deputy Fire Chief Rick Caddick says the leak was isolated to a six-plex on King Street where some renovations are being done.
The apartment building and a few surrounding homes were evacuated while the gas company controlled the leak.
No one was injured.
