Following a tour of the almost completed Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward Centre on Friday, August 12, 2022, Steve Morris and his family presented a gift of $25,000 to the HSHPE Capital Campaign – It Takes Heart!
Steve Morris, owner of Free-Flow Petroleum in Shannonville, Deseronto, Carrying Place, Wooler, Newburgh, and Bath is a long-time advocate for the well-being of animals, especially those in need of health care and the love of a caring family.
“Our family has always had animals and a great love for them. We really think this is such an important cause that will affect so many people in our community. This project has been a long time in the making with so many people getting involved with both their time and money and we just had to be a part of it,” commented Morris.
“The Morris family is a shining example of the generosity of this community. They saw the need and offered their support,” remarked Sudds.
The It Takes Heart Capital Campaign has raised $4.8 of the $6 million needed to fund the building of the new HSHPE Centre.
