Two young tumblers from the Quinte Bay Gymnastics Club competed at the recent Canadian Championships at the Genesis Centre in Calgary.
In the women’s age 15 and 16 category, Mackenzie Trider-Schmidt won a bronze medal in the Level 5 competition.
In the men’s age 14 event, Michael McFarlane finished fourth in the Level 5 group.
Both Trider-Schmidt and McFarland competed in power tumbling.
This was the first national championship for both athletes
