An accident has closed a stretch of Highway 401 east.
East Region OPP says earlier today a tractor trailer collided with a stationary vehicle between Shannonville Road and Marysville road, causing a fire.
Three people were treated on scene for minor injuries, nobody was sent to the hospital.
Eastbound 401 between Shannonville Road and Marysville Road remains closed for cleanup and repairs, the westbound lane has reopened.
Alternate routes are also very busy and there has been at least one collision.
It involved a boom truck and camper van at the intersection of Blessington and Shannonville Roads.
