Domestic Dispute
On July 18, 2022 at 2 p.m., police were called to a residence on Sienna Avenue regarding a domestic dispute that occurred. The investigation revealed that an adult female victim was assaulted and rendered unconscious by a male suspect. The victim did not wish for or require medical attention. The male suspect had fled the address prior to police arriving but was later located by officers. The accused, a 27-year-old Belleville resident was charged with domestic assault and choking. He was held for a show cause hearing scheduled for July 19. The accused will not be identified in order to protect the identity of the victim.
