A Brighton councillor has decided to run for a different position in October’s local election.
Ron Anderson had originally filed papers for reelection as a councillor but has withdrawn from that
position and has instead filed to run for Deputy Mayor.
Also running for that job is current councillor Mark Bateman.
The incumbent Deputy Mayor of Brighton is Laura Knegt, who has decided to not seek reelection.
