Hastings County has found its new Chief Paramedic and Director of Emergency Services.
Warden Rick Phillips announced Thursday that Deputy Chief Carl Bowker is being promoted.
He’ll replace Doug Socha whose last day is July 31.
Phillips says they were fortunate to have the ideal candidate within the organization and that Bowker’s skills and leadership abilities will serve him well as the new Chief.
Bowker has been a paramedic since 1998 and started with the county as an Advanced Care Paramedic in 2007.
His takes over as Chief August 1.
