Three people were arrested after allegedly stealing two bicycles parked outside a Trenton business.
Quinte West OPP say the bicycles were stolen Sunday afternoon while the owners were in the 2nd Dug Hill Road business shopping.
Officers reviewed security footage and determined the alleged thieves were still inside the store.
The suspects were located and arrested.
The bicycles were located nearby.
A search by police also recovered other items worth about $700 and a concealed throwing knife.
Shane McFarland, 41, of Belleville is charged with:
Theft under $5000 – two counts; and
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Bradley Hamilton-Proud, 25, of Tweed is charged with:
Theft under $5000 – two counts; and
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Brooke Gignac, 33, of Prince Edward County is charged with
Theft under $5000
Obstruct peace officer
Fail to comply with probation order; and
Driving while under suspension
All three were held for a bail hearing Monday.
