Update 3:27 p.m.: Tornado warning for the Belleville-Quinte-Northumberland area ended, severe thunderstorm warning still in effect.

Environment Canada has issued severe thunderstorm watches for much of eastern and southern Ontario, including the Bay of Quinte area with eastern Ontario expected to receive the most severe weather.
Several areas including Tweed, Stirling, Madoc and Bancroft are under Tornado Watches.
There is a cold front pushing into the warm and unstable air from Toronto to Montreal, sparking a risk for strong storms.
Thunderstorms are expected to move across the region this afternoon and into this evening bringing wind gusts of 90 to 110 km/h and nickel to pingpong ball size hail.
Hydro One has been sending out alerts to its customers warning of the potential for severe weather and says its crews are ready to respond.
