“People do get to talk to the charities first-hand and they get to understand the programs or services that they offer and then they can focus their efforts or donation to one specific program instead of it being broad-based.”
DeVuono says just thinking of veterans once a year just doesn’t cut it.
“But we really don’t recognize our heroes during the regular year, the injured people, the number of ones that have done a number of tours over the years, have served Canada bravely. They’re our greatest ambassadors.”
Motorcyclists will gather on Trenton’s North Murray Street and leave for Highway 401 at 11 a.m. Saturday.
The ride has traditionally left the Air Force Museum area on RCAF Road but federal COVID-19 protocols have caused the gathering venue to be changed for this year.
