Traffic to and from Prince Edward County will be slow this summer.
The City of Belleville has been advised there will be a rehabilitation of Hwy. 62 from Bloomfield north to roughly 0.5 kms north of the Belleville Bay Bridge.
Work by R.W. Tomlinson Limited will include the placement of hot mix asphalt, along with culvert and storm sewer improvements.
This work is anticipated to begin May 24 and extend to October 31.
During this time, single lane closures may be in place Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Lane closures are anticipated to begin June 6.
Motorists can anticipate delays of up to 20 minutes while work is in progress.
In the case of an emergency, all work shall cease to allow access/passage of all emergency vehicles.
