There wasn’t much difference in the value of planned construction projects last month when compared to April of last year in Prince Edward County.
Last month, 74 building permits were issued for a value of $11.4 million. Last year in April the value was 10.1 million but only 39 permits were issued.
So far this year 194 permits have been issued with a value of $33.6 million, almost exactly the same as in the first four months of last year.
Eight permits for new homes, including secondary suites, were issued last month.
