Belleville police have made an arrest in connection to a break and enter in the Cannifton area in late December.
On Thursday police say they arrested 36-year-old Dustin Barnett, originally of Peterborough but currently of no fixed address.
The arrest comes following an investigation into a break and enter on Cannifton Road North on December 30.
Forensic analysis of evidence recovered at the scene led police to the arrest.
As a result Barnett is charged with break and enter, two counts of mischief under $5,000 and theft under $5,000.
He was released with a court date set for January 27.
