Another milestone was marked in the over 50-year history of one of the Quinte region’s premier home building companies.
On Thursday, Staikos Homes held a grand opening of the first of two luxury apartment buildings on Belleville’s Wims Way.
The seven-storey building is known as Canniff Mill Residences.

Manager of Staikos Homes Greg Timlin thanked Staikos for his leadership and vision over
the years which has led to a new offshoot for the company, Suite Home Living by Staikos.
Staikos Homes has built thousands of quality homes in the wider Quinte region over the years.
Timlin said Canniff Mill Residences offered tenants luxury, convenience, and peace of mind, features
that will be attractive for “Boomers” looking to downsize and retire comfortably.
All amenities, including rooftop patios and BBQs, heat, hydro, internet, and a sizeable gym,
are included in the rent. There are no add-on charges.
One-, two-, and three-bedroom units are available.
The public is invited to a Grand Open House on Saturday May 23 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.

All speakers at the ceremony stressed the high quality of construction and the building’s features.
Staikos Homes’s George Staikos stressed that the security and safety of the building is state of the
art. “The residents will never notice but this is a “smart building” and we’ll know when there are
issues with it.”
Construction will begin on a similar building next door in the next year or so.
