2021 was all about the COVID-19 pandemic for the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce.
Chamber Manager Suzanne Andrews says she’s proud of the way the organization worked to provide information and other supports to Quinte West’s businesses.
“Being able to curate all the information that was out there and send focused updates to the business community has been a huge thing.”
Andrews says the Chamber has received many many thanks from members for being a source of good information on restrictions and protocols as the pandemic ebbed and flowed throughout the year.
Besides providing focused information to businesses Andrews says getting and making available rapid test kids for members was an important accomplishment.
“Businesses of all sizes and sectors have really taken advantage of those free tests and are using them to keep their workplaces safe.”
Andrews says the Shop Local campaign to encourage shopping close to home was also an important support provided by the Chamber this year.
