Belleville Downtown DocFest has announced that there not be a film festival in November 2026, nor for the foreseeable future.
In a post to its website, DocFest says its Festival Board made the decision to permanently discontinue the festival due to ongoing funding challenges.
The film festival had been active for 14 years.
DocFest provided an opportunity for community involvement for audience members, local filmmakers, not-for-profit agencies and organizations, volunteers and students.
