There are two more people being treated in hospital and another outbreak of COVID-19 in the latest update from Hastings Prince Edward Public Health.
In a report covering the weekend, the health unit reported 10 new cases and with nine people having recovered. There are now 40 active cases in the two counties.
Six of the new cases are located in Quinte West and four in Belleville. Seven of the cases are 18 and under. All of the new cases were found in people who had not been vaccinated.
Meanwhile, there are now four people in hospital with COVID-19 with three of them in the Intensive Care Unit and two on a ventilator.
The number of outbreaks is now up to two with one being declared at St Mary Catholic School in Trenton.
Two people have contracted the disease there.
Seventy-nine percent of the population of Hastings-Prince Edward 12 years of age and up have been fully vaccinated.
There are only four active cases in Northumberland County.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reported two new cases on Monday.
