Domestic Assault
On September 4, 2021 at 10 a.m., officers responded to a residence in the south end of the city regarding a disturbance. Information from the complainant indicated that a male was yelling at a female and had smashed her cell phone. Officers located the involved parties and after a thorough investigation, arrested a 35-year-old male from Belleville for domestic assault and domestic mischief. The accused was brought to Belleville Police Headquarters and released a short time later on strict conditions with a court date of October 4 at Quinte Consolidated Court.
Motor Vehicle Collison
On September 4, 2021 at 12:23 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of North Front St and Donald Ave. Emergency Medical Services attended the scene and transported one of the occupants of the vehicles to Belleville General Hospital with minor injuries. Charges were laid against one of the drivers for careless driving.
