The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward Counties has taken a small jump after HPE Public Health reported six new cases on Monday.
There are now 11 active cases.
The health unit’s dashboard shows four of the cases are in Central Hastings with one each in Belleville and Trenton.
Half of the six new cases were caused by close contact, one by travel while the causes of the other two are pending.
Three of the cases are individuals under the age of 18.
One person is in hospital, being treated in the ICU.
Eighty per cent of the local population age 12 and up has now received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Fifty-eight per cent are fully vaccinated.
There are no active cases in Northumberland County according to the Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit dashboard.
