There was a police standoff in east end Belleville Thursday night.
At approximately 9 .m., city police responded to a residence where an unwanted man was reported to be.
He was on conditions to not go to that particular home.
When police arrived, the suspect barricaded himself inside a room. The Belleville Police Emergency Response Team, negotiators and an OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit responded and the standoff ended after six and half hours with the arrest of a 33-year-old man without incident.
He was charged with failing to comply with a court order.
