The Quinte Home Builders’ Association will make a presentation to county council about how to improve the planning process.
The QHBA identifies some issues, including delays in the application process attributed to NIMBYism, or Not-In-My-Backyard-ism, in the county and under-resourced departments, as well as a lack of efficiency.
The builders’ association presentation suggests that fostering partnerships with the QHBA and other similar agencies is one way to improve the process.
The Quinte Home Builders’ Association represents components of the residential construction industry in the Quinte region including builders, developers, planners and contractors.
Council meets Tuesday at 7 p.m.
