CAA South Central Ontario is hosting a virtual town hall on the importance of road repair next week.
The City of Belleville’s General Manager of Transportation and Operations Joe Reid will be among the speakers discussing the importance of roads and road networks to our communities, economy and how it all ties to together.
“Me specifically, I’m gonna talk about the best practices that we use here in the city of Belleville when it comes to road management and preventative maintenance strategies. The tools in our toolbox that we use to maintain our assets which are our roadways.”
The hour-long event will be held April 8 at noon and is open to all.
“I think it will be an interesting opportunity for people to learn locally what we do in Belleville and how we maintain our assests to the best of our ability.”
It will also feature a representative from the Ontario Road Builders’ Association and will be moderated by the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board’s Dug Stevenson.
