Disorderly Conduct
On March 29, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., Belleville police received a call to an east end apartment complex regarding a male smashing a window out of an apartment. When officers arrived on scene the male had left. A short time later police received a second call of male at an east end business and that he was unwanted at that location. Police were able to locate the male who was visibly intoxicated, placed him under arrest for public intoxication and transported him to Belleville Police Service. The male was held until morning and released when he was sober.
Arrested on Warrants
On March 29, 2021 at 7:21 p.m., Belleville police were on general patrol in the area of Front St. and Bridge St. when a male known to police was located and wanted on warrants. Travis Todhunter was arrested on the strength of the warrants for failing to attend court, theft of motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, fail to comply with probation order, fail to comply with release order and possession of property obtained by crime. He was held for a bail hearing on Tuesday March 30, 2021.
Impaired Driving
On March 30, 2021 at 2:30 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle travelling on N. Front St. at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was stopped a short distance later and upon further investigation the driver was issued a three-day license suspension. While speaking with the passenger a weapon was located inside the vehicle and as a result the passenger was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon. A records check was completed on the male passenger and as a result additional charges for breach of probation were added. The male was held for a bail hearing on March 30, 2021.
