The Brighton man charged with attempted murder in the stabbing of an OPP officer last Sunday has had his first court date.
Phoning into court Thursday, Charles Parkinson had a court date set for April 8 at 3 p.m. via video. He has a long list of people that he is not to contact.
Parkinson was arrested the morning of Sunday, March 21 in an hours long manhunt and is accused of stabbing a Quinte West OPP officer and running away in the Foxboro area.
He was arrested and taken into custody without incident and is currently being held in the Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay.
