The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Hastings Prince Edward remains unchanged today, after public health officials reported two new cases and two recoveries.
There are currently 11 active cases according to the HPE Public Health Dashboard, with the seven day case rate per 100,000 people at 6.5.
Both new cases were found in Belleville, one each in a man and woman who are 70 years old or older, with one case transmitted through local spread and the transmission cause of the other case pending.
Meanwhile, in Northumberland County today, the HKPR Health Unit Dashboard is showing one new case and two recoveries, for an active case total of 19.
The seven day case rate per 100,000 people in Northumberland County is down slightly to 20.1.
Hastings Prince Edward remains in the green zone of Ontario’s COVID-19 Response Framework, while Northumberland County and the rest of the HKPR area remain in the orange zone.
