Investigators with the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office will continue an investigation into a fire that destroyed a historic building in downtown Colborne Friday night.
Firefighters from Cramahe Township, Brighton, and Trent Hills responded around 6 o’clock to find the Golden Rooster restaurant fully engulfed in flames.
The fire is believed to have started in the basement and the cause is considered suspicious. There were no injuries.
The building is located right next to the Cramahe Township Municipal Building.
