The uncertainty around the start of the Ontario Junior Hockey League season continues and it’s led the Wellington Dukes to send one of their top players to British Columbia.
The Dukes have traded forward Ben Woodhouse to the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL, in exchange for future considerations.
The 21-year-old from Hamilton registered 27 goals, 59 assists in 94 career regular season games with the Dukes and nine goals and seven assists in 27 playoff games, over two seasons.
He also notched 15 points (six goals, nine assists) in eight games during November’s Hasty Ps Cup series with Trenton.
The start date for the new OJHL campaign is still in question as Ontario remains under a province-wide COVID-19-related stay-at-home order.
