On January 9, 2021 at approximately 10:00 a.m., officers of the Lennox and Addington (L&A) County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were on patrol on highway 401 east and observed tinted windows on a vehicle that caused the interior to be obscured.
Officers initiated a traffic stop after investigation revealed that the car had expired plates and the vehicle was not insured.
As a result of the investigation, L&A County OPP has charged:
Tarandeep Singh Jaggi, age 21, of Brampton, with:
· Possession of a Schedule I Substance – (Heroin)
· Operate a motor vehicle without insurance
· Colour coating obscuring interior
· Drive motor vehicle with no currently validated permit
Surjeet Sing Lally, age 49, of Brampton with:
- Possession of a stolen credit card
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Possession of an identity document
- Fail to comply with Probation
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – (Methamphetamine)
Shangharsa Paudel, age 26, of Cambridge with:
- Fail to comply with Probation
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – (Heroin) c
All accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 30, 2020.
