Bishop was selected by Carolina in the fifth round of the 2014 draft and spent most of last season with the Hurricane’s AHL affiliate in Charlotte, where he notched six goals and 13 assists in 53 games, and was a part of the Checkers’ leadership group as an alternate captain.
He also appeared in 25 NHL games with Carolina, where he had a goal and three assists.
Lajoie was picked by Ottawa in the fifth round in the 2016 draft and had 33 points in 107 AHL games, with 15 points in 62 NHL games.
