2021 is a year of big projects in Prince Edward County.
Mayor Steve Ferguson says they aren’t quite sure what to expect this year but they still need to move the business of the municipality forward.
“We have significant road rehab that is going to be undertaken in Picton and elsewhere as was outlined in the budget.”
The work on the Wellington water and waste water projects is slated to begin as well to deal with the increased demand from population growth.
The municipality is also looking at redesigning the council chamber to allow for better social distancing.
The Official Plan (OP) will take up a large portion of the start of the year as the old OP is 25 years old.
Ferguson also noted in 2021, the revitalization of Crystal Palace will begin and there will be support for affordable housing and grants funding provided again.
