A tractor trailer driver has died after his truck veered off Old Highway 2 and hit a house near Mitchell Road in the far east end of Belleville early yesterday (Monday) afternoon.
The driver, a 59-year-old man from Nobleton Ontario was taken to BGH where he succumbed.
The transport sheared the front deck off the older wood frame house but luckily no one else was injured.
Police closed Old Highway 2 in the area of the collision for seven hours to conduct an investigation.
