A woman was pulled to safety this morning from a house fire in Colborne.
Cramahe Fire Chief Bruce Greatrix says fire stations one and two received the call for a working house fire on North Street around 8 a.m. Thursday morning.
Fire crews responded to the scene and made entry to the home, finding a female occupant on the lower level unconscious. The woman was pulled from the one-and-a-half-storey home and was transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg. Her condition at this time is unknown.
Chief Greatrix says two pumpers and 15 firefighters responded to the call with Brighton and Trent Hills fire departments placed on standby.
Damages caused by the blaze are unknown.
The Office of the Fire Marshal has been called in to investigate and the fire department and OPP remain on scene at this time.
