Hastings County Community and Human Services recently outlined the many services the department delivered to its clients during the COVID-19 summer.
That included free summer day camp alternative at home, for children ages four to twelve years.
In 2020 a Bonanza in a Box program had 532 children participate in the
“At Home” camp across 14 locations in Belleville, Quinte West, Bancroft, and Deseronto.
Also in the summer, 975 meals were provided weekly to 15 neighbourhoods in Belleville, Quinte West, Bancroft and Deseronto.
A total of 34,125 meals delivered this summer.
