A Trenton man faces a long list of charges after a search by various units of the OPP last Thursday.
Police originally responded to an unwanted person call on King Street at 11:30 in the morning but the suspect was nowhere to be found when officers arrived.
Then a search began involving the Emergency Response Team, K9 Unit and OPP helicopter.
Late Thursday afternoon the suspect was arrested on Creswell Drive in Trenton.
Police seized suspected methamphetamine, three firearms, two air pistols, ammunition, a sword, and a prohibited knife.
Kevin Scurry, 27 years old, from Trenton has been charged with:
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose – Three counts
- Careless Storage of Firearms, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition – Three counts
- Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order – 18 Counts
- Fail to Comply with Release Order – Other than to attend court
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
