The City of Belleville is getting set to reopen the Wally Dever Arena and is outlining some of the new COVID-19 related guidelines on an online video, which you can see below.
Ice has already been put back in and the arena is set to reopen for youth programming on September 14.
Players will have to wait outside before being screened, sanitized and allowed into the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre – and masks will have to be worn until they are headed to the ice.
No spectators will be allowed for at least the first few weeks, although kids 13 and under can have one parent or guardian help with their skates, before having to leave the building.
It’s also recommended that players come to the arena dressed in their gear, since they’ll only be given 15 minutes before and after their ice time to use the dressing rooms.
