Drugs and weapons were seized after two OPP search warrants were executed Thursday in Quinte West.
Quinte West OPP, assisted by members of the Street Crime Unit, members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit and OPP Emergency Response Team, searched a residence on MacLellan Avenue and a cabin cruiser moored at a local marina yesterday.
The result was the arrest of five people and police seized a loaded handgun, rounds, suspected crystal meth cocaine, various prescription drugs and other trafficking items.
Nathaniel Clayton and Stephanie Mckenna, both 29-years-old and both from Trenton, have been charged with:
- Careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon – three counts
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of prohibited or restricted firearm/ammunition
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – six counts
- Possession of a Schedule IV Substance for the purpose of Trafficking – four counts
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid – two counts
Twenty-six-year-old Travis Nadeau, also of Trenton, was charged with unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Two other people who were arrested were released without charges.
The three accused were released but will appear in court on November 27, 2020.
